Cerboni Financial & Consulting Services was founded in 2017 by Joshua Santana and Maria Degaine with a clear mission: to help restaurant and hospitality owners make smarter financial decisions through clarity, strategy, and industry-specific expertise. Today, Cerboni is a trusted, all-in-one outsourced accounting and financial solutions firm serving clients nationwide.

Joshua Santana, Co-Founder and Partner, is a Houston native and a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Accounting. He joined Santana & Associates, Cerboni’s sister tax services firm, in 2008 and brings over 15 years of tax expertise to the Cerboni team. Joshua specializes in tax preparation and filing, audits, tax strategy, and tax appeals for both individuals and businesses. His deep understanding of tax law and proactive approach allow clients to optimize their tax positions while aligning their financial strategies with long-term goals.
Maria Degaine, Co-Founder and Partner, holds a degree in Business Development from the University of Univali in Brazil and has over 17 years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. Her career began at the renowned Sun Valley Resort in Idaho, where she played a key role on the management team. She later returned to Brazil, where she successfully launched the luxury Insólito Boutique Hotel & Spa and developed four distinctive restaurant concepts. After relocating to the United States, Maria continued investing in and advising restaurant businesses, bringing a rare operational perspective to Cerboni’s clients.
Together, Joshua and Maria bridge the gap between financial expertise and real-world restaurant operations. Their combined experience is the foundation of Cerboni’s approach—helping owners reduce costs, uncover opportunities, and build profitable, resilient businesses.
